Ruben Mayfield has experienced a great deal of success this season at the Spring City Raceway but on Friday night he scored his most lucrative win of the season on the 1/4 mile clay oval. The veteran driver earned $1,000 by besting fifteen other Limited Late Model drivers on the east Tennessee track.

Coming up on September 14th, will be our Super Street Shootout! The Paint Doctor has put up $500.00 to win. Thanks Greg! Remaining pay out structure will be announced soon once all details are finalized. 1-lap qualification for all competitors, with the Fast Qualifier cashing in on $100.00 sponsored by All Pro Tire. Thanks Darrell! We will lock in the top 4 qualifiers, while the rest will heat race. Perfection Plus Painting is sponsoring the heat races, with $50 going to each heat race winner. Thanks Mike!

September 21st:
You’ve asked for it, you’ve got it! We’ll host a Powder Puff race on September 21st! Ladies, you asked for it so lets get it on! $100 for the fastest lady So get them cars ready and bring them to The Bullring on September 21st Modified Mini, Pony Stock, and Front Wheel Drive cars only!

September 21st:
On September 21st we will have our Crowning of Champions night. All of our top 3 points champions are invited to join us for a night of celebration. All top 3 drivers will receive trophies if they’re in attendance, and all drivers will be brought onto the frontstretch to receive their trophies in front of the fans in the house. So make your plans and we’ll see you at The Bullring on September 21st!

September 28th:
Our big Limited Late Model race will be on September 28th. It’ll be 30 laps, $1,000 to win.
Thanks to Mitch Gann at Ujunkdit.com as they’ve put up $1,000. Also thanks to Brian King Roofing who has put up $500. In addition, Phantom Racing Engines (Jr Weisgarber) has put up $100 for fast qualifier, and he is also giving a barrel of fuel to one lucky driver, drawn by a fan. The drawing will take place at intermission and there will be chips numbered 1-18 and whichever number is drawn, that driver who STARTS in that number position will receive the barrel if fuel. Payout will be: 1. $1,000 2. $500 3. $300 4. $200 5. $150 6-18. $100. Thanks to all these sponsors for making this happen, so all you drivers come on out to The Bullring on September 28th and show these sponsors that we appreciate them.

Due to the heavy rains received yesterday and this morning, the racing program for tonight has been canceled. See everyone next Friday.

Officials with the Southern Mod Lite Racing Series and the Spring City Raceway have mutually agreed to cancel this Friday night’s event at the Spring City Raceway. Due to the raceway’s low car counts and the expected low car count in the Mod Lite series, officials with both the Southern Mod Lite Racing Series and Spring City Raceway have mutually agreed it was in both parties’ best interest to cancel the event. We hope everyone understands and both parties look forward to August 31st as the SMLRS will return to “The Bullring!”

Spring City Raceway is actively looking for an individual who would like to write stories every Friday night. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to attend most Friday night races. We understand that plans are made, but we wish to have someone there 8 out of 10 events. You must provide your own form of story writing (notepad, laptop, etc) and stories are due no later then 3:00p Monday afternoons following an event. You must be 14 or older to be considered for this opportunity, and we require the candidate to be 100% unbiased and show ZERO favoritism toward any driver at our facility. This is an exciting opportunity and will quickly get your name out there and may eventually lead to bigger and better opportunities!
